How
Talismans Work
 |
So
on the surface, the act of drawing lines and circles, symbols representative of
elements of existence, on a piece of paper is how we use talismans to manipulate
other dimensions.
In reality, it is not quite that simple. As we said before, your name is a symbol,
but is it a symbol of you when you were five years old, or when you are fifty? |
You
and the rest of the world are always changing; "in a constant state of flux,"
as Taoists say. So what does a certain symbol represent? Anything you want it
to! The power to define meaning is in your mind! Chinese philosophy is
all based on the mind, and the power it has.
So,
making talismans is a way of concentrating the power of your mind, and manipulating
reality. The vast majority of people, however, will see very little effect from
this. Why? Because they have not developed their spiritual power. If you write
a talisman with a pure heart and good intention, the spirits may hear you, be
touched by your request, and help, but there is no guarantee that this will happen.
Whether you get results also depends upon your karma, or merit. If you have no
good karma, you will not be helped.
| Only
real Buddhist and Taoist Masters who have earned the spiritual lineage and karma
can use talismans to their full extent. Lineage is like a password, or permission
to excercise certain powers for the right causes. Such Masters can use their own
good karma, or merit to help others. |
